Indoor Lacrosse is nothing new to the coaches and players of Catamount Lacrosse.  The Club has fielded Indoor Teams since 1995 and the Indoor Action Arena has long been a staple for players seeking the furious pace and non-stop action of indoor ball. Yet in over 27 years of fielding lacrosse teams, Catamount has never had a formal Box Lacrosse program…until now.  Starting November 25th, Catamount will kick off it’s inaugural season of NEBOXLA Box Lacrosse with practices in the IAS Arena.

This new program will give players in Western New England the opportunity to develop and compete in a similar, yet distinct discipline from the indoor lacrosse that has been played in the arena for decades. While the rules and game may be new, the face leading the team is far from it.  Leading the program will be former Catamount, Tony Sorci. Tony grew up locally in Northfield, MA and played at Northfield Mt. Hermon before matriculating to study and play at Colorado College.  After his college career came to a close, Tony played indoor in the National Lacrosse League for the Buffalo Bandits. In 2015, Tony was hired as Head Coach of the Vermont Voyageurs. While the team folded following his second season, to this day the Voyaguers have been the only American based team to compete in Canadian Senior Lacrosse.

Teams will be fielded for HS Elite and Midget age levels which will practice Sunday Afternoons/Evenings in the IAS Arena.  Tournaments will be:

12/2 All-Sport Soccer Arena- Northampton, MA

12/15 ForeKicks- Taunton, MA

1/26-27 Knickerbacker Arena- Troy, NY

Limited team spaces are available at both age levels.  For more info or to inquire about the available spaces, please contact Charlie Edwards 413-883-9146 or
