The Girls Black Team went 3-0-1 to win their pool at the IWLCA Capital Cup. This event, perhaps the most hotly contested and attended event of the Summer is hosted by the Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association at the River City Sportsplex just outside Richmond, VA.
The team lead off with a dominating 15-6 victory over Circle City Lacrosse out of Indiana. The second match was a 6-6 tie with the American Youth Lacrosse Association Elite team which featured players from Illinois, Indiana, and Wisconsin.
Day 2 started with the team in a tight battle with Carolina Flight which Catamount managed to best by a score of 5-4. The final match of the event was a decisive 12-3 victory over Cincinnati’s Fellowship of Christian Athletes team.
Practice for the team wrap’s up at Northfield Mt. Hermon School this Wednesday July 26th, before our season ending tournament, the Lake Placid Summit Classic.
