Sessions are held in the enclosed IAS Arena training on 4×4 goals with short sticks only. This environment best lends itself to the development of youth players, defenders included. To quote Bill Tierney who has won NCAA championships with both Denver and Princeton.
“If I had my choice, I would have every player under the age of twelve play box lacrosse exclusively or at least a majority of the time.”
These will be full pads sessions for boys in grades 4-8 with some experience to build skills and develop understanding. Concepts to be covered include:
-Fundamental Mechanics -Off-Ball Movement -Two Man Game Situations -Team Defense
